Patient Services RepresentativeThe Patient Services Representative facilitates communication between patients and doctors, clinical staff, and administrative staff, and acts as the liaison between patients, insurance companies, and the Central Billing department. Responsibilities include verifying insurance, obtaining pre-authorizations, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, triage, responding to patient inquiries, and maintaining charts.Position Location: 1201 E State Road 114, North Manchester, IN 46962What We Offer:Starting wage of $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on previous experience6.5 paid holidays per year + 2 floating holidaysApproximately 8 days of PTO within first yearFull slate of benefits to include health, dental, vision, and 401kGrowth and wage increase available through company paid certification programEssential Responsibilities:Greet patients in a friendly, professional mannerAnswer phone calls, schedule appointments, assist in patient communications and recallsRespond to patient inquiries about billing, procedures, policies and available servicesPrepare patient chart prior to appointment and complete upon patient arrivalEfficiently process patients through check out by verifying chart documentation and insurance information, accepting and posting payments, preparing and filing clean claims, authorizing insurance and billing, scheduling referrals, and accurately entering corresponding data into EHRPerform end of day tasks, including balancing cash drawer, processing daily deposits, evaluating data from various reports, and submitting essential reportsMonitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delaysProvide a safe and clean office environmentPerform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager and doctor(s)Physical Demands and Work Environment (per ADA guidelines):Physical Activity: Standing, Walking, Stooping, Grasping, Typing, and Manual dexterity.
