Tool and Die Machinist 2nd Shift

Locations 3724 E Columbia Street, Tucson, AZ, 85714, US (On-site) Job Schedule Full time Export-Controlled Data No Responsibilities Responsible for the rework of parts meeting print and specification requirements. Operate manual mills, lathes, and grinders. Read and interpret blueprints. Create functional dies and cut tools. Modify servicing tools and molds as needed. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Read and interpret tooling prints, work instructions, policies and procedures. Have knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles. Solve practical problems with a variety of variables. Calculate figures and amounts. Perform entry level machining. Maintain records and quality standards. Use and read basic inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, optical comparator. Qualifications Minimum tooling experience 1–3 years. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired or a background working with machinery. Preference for hands‑on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and reading blueprints. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred but not required. Physical Requirements This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35–40 lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis.
