Urgent Care Clinical Therapist, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC

Responsibilities Provide on‑site and remote direct therapeutic services to pediatric patients, ages 5–26, and their families, and adults. Engage with staff and families in the urgent care center that they are covering to provide information, education, brief consultations and referrals for patients and staff seeking assistance with mental health issues. Provide highest quality therapy services to patients. Participate in clinical team meetings with Urgent Care and MH staff. Maintain weekly scheduled therapy appointments. Complete required documentation and paperwork including clinical assessments, treatment planning, and updating of patient medical records within 48 hours of patient visits. Utilize standardized tools (PHQ9, GAD7, etc.) to identify patients that can benefit from ongoing MH services and help families navigate treatment. Make rapid assessments and follow through on recommendations in a timely manner. Demonstrate deep knowledge of various mental health issues and symptoms and assist staff in UC to identify patients demonstrating mental health needs. Demonstrate deep knowledge of child development and assist families and staff who verbalize concerns to determine appropriate assessment and next steps. Make independent clinical decisions with a minimum of guidance. Requirements Must be independently licensed in state of practice. Knowledge of medical terminology. Understanding the roles of the healthcare team. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of psychosocial aspects of illness and health. Experience with community facilities and resources for discharge planning. Superb written and verbal communication skills. Strong crisis intervention skills.
