Director, Network Systems Engineering

This senior leadership role requires 15+ years of professional experience, with at least 6 years of diversified leadership, planning, communication and people‑motivation skills. The candidate will lead large‑scale cloud migrations and enterprise infrastructure transformations, including carve‑outs, M&A integrations, and high‑complexity programs, while overseeing a portfolio of global initiatives. Qualifications 15+ years of professional experience with 6+ years in diversified leadership, communication, and people‑motivation. Proven track record leading large‑scale cloud migrations or enterprise infrastructure transformations (e.g., carve‑outs, M&A integrations). Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, GKE, Cloud Monitoring) or equivalent AWS/Azure with demonstrated GCP transition capability. Broad infrastructure domain expertise across network engineering, cloud architecture, database management (Oracle, SQL Server, Cloud SQL), and storage systems. Experience designing and leading migration wave programs across multi‑site physical environments (distribution centers, warehouses, campuses) with operational sensitivity. Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management. Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Expert‑level network design (LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, MPLS, BGP, VPN, cloud networking, QoS, Zero Trust). Cloud (GCP) skills: VPC, Shared VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud VPN, Cloud Router (BGP), Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, Cloud Armor, VPC Service Controls, Network Intelligence Center, GKE, Cloud Run, Apigee. Security: firewall design and policy migration (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD), IAM, encryption, DDoS protection, intrusion detection, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST). Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Git‑based infrastructure change management, CI/CD pipeline integration for infrastructure deployments. Observability: Cloud Monitoring, VPC Flow Logs, Cloud Trace, network monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, Grafana), ITIL‑aligned incident and problem management. Emerging technologies: SD‑WAN, IoT device network management, edge computing awareness, container networking (GKE), service mesh fundamentals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence technical teams, business leaders, and external partners. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Experience leading large‑scale global transformation programs and managing a portfolio of multiple projects. Strong change management skills, sustaining team effectiveness through periods of change. Ability to consult and educate stakeholders on the role of data and its business purpose. Strong negotiation and decision‑making skills. Experience with data in the drug supply chain and commercial healthcare, pharma is a plus. Ability to work without direct authority, manage trade‑offs, and influence across organizational boundaries. Positive, flexible attitude enabling adaptation to evolving needs.
