3rd Shift Master Multi-Craft (Dept. 270) Job Category : 6F - Maintenance Requisition Number : 3RDSH002638 Full-Time On-site Location Prairie Du Sac, WI – Department 270, 3rd Shift. Description Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a Master Multi-Craft to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 270. The starting wage for this position is $34.83 per hour plus a 4.5 % shift premium. *This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign‑on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one year of employment.* The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 8:00 PM-5:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1‑2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Responsibilities Perform extensive maintenance work on plant equipment, including electrical repairs; maintain machines, assembly equipment, heating systems, compressors, plumbing, and other equipment. Have good knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with all general machine and plant repairs. Operate and use various types of power tools, including hand tools, welders, torches, and other maintenance shop machinery. Rebuild or fabricate parts for machinery and plant equipment. Be responsible for performing duties specified in the schedule as per instructions from supervisor. Keep work areas and equipment throughout the shop in a clean, safe, and orderly condition on a daily basis. Have knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, technical manuals, and machine parts drawings. Be able to work in all types of working conditions typically found in plant environments. Troubleshoot and have working knowledge of PLC controls, machine controls, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Be able to install new equipment and remove old equipment from various shop areas. Be able to drive forklift and other types of equipment. Assist other maintenance personnel when required. Have knowledge of CNC G code and various conversational controls. Communicate effectively with all shop personnel. Be willing to train lower‑level maintenance personnel. Work is subject to final inspection. Other duties may be assigned. Work Environment Work environment includes wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. Noise level is usually very loud.
