Registered Nurse CVPICU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric critical care nursing services within the CVPICU, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care for critically ill children. Collaborate with healthcare teams and families to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor pediatric patients in the CVPICU, adjusting care plans based on patient conditions.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in medical records.
  
  
• 
  Float between NICU and PICU units, providing flexible and competent care across pediatric critical care settings.
  
  
• 
  Educate families on patient care plans, procedures, and ongoing health needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current Arizona RN license or multistate license with proper privileges.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric CVICU nursing.
  
  
• 
  Experience working in a hospital with a Level III or IV NICU preferred.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in floating between NICU and PICU settings.
  
  
• 
  BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required, NRP preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
