Data Scientist, Junior - Booz Allen Hamilton Responsibilities Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and analyze data-rich environments to uncover insights. Develop algorithms, models, and systems using appropriate tools and frameworks to transform raw data into actionable information. Perform data exploration, cleaning, visualization, and predictive modeling to support decision-making. Communicate findings, explain data concepts, and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders. Qualifications Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages such as R, Perl, Python, SAS, or SPSS. Proficiency in data exploration, mining, cleaning, analysis, visualization, machine learning, statistics, graph algorithms, or AI. Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or Natural Language Processing (NLP). Ability to analyze structured and unstructured data sources and develop predictive data models. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or engineering field. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience developing algorithms with R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL. Experience with distributed data or computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL). Experience with Palantir Foundry, visualization packages (Plotly, Seaborn, ggplot2), or business-intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Master’s degree in a relevant field. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $61,900.00 - $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Compensation determined by factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.
