Material Handler III

Job TitleResponsible for performing a variety of routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks in the movement and processing of various waste in various container size/type.Primary Duties /Responsibilities:Has mastered all four components (CSB/ADA, TRB, Bulk Ramp and TSDF) and can work in any area while maintaining operational efficiency.Requires minimal direct supervisionUnderstand and follow procedures & processesRecognize various container size & typeRecognize labels & markingsAbility to utilize systems to create processing paperwork or labelsLoad and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. etc.) using mechanical or manual meansConstruct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers.Use a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.Transport hazardous waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed.Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines.Assist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials to include transportation of materials to and from various locations.Perform general housekeeping duties.Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.Inspection material handling equipment as directed.Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent9 to 12 months general labor experienceForklift experience preferredKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:Ability to communicate through reading and writingTrained in the use of material handling equipmentRequired Certification / Licenses / Training:40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferredAdditional InformationVeolia's comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
