We are in search of a forward-thinking Medical Director of Thoracic Surgery to enhance and expand our thoracic program in collaboration with our Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery. This is a unique chance to assume a strategic leadership position in a progressive institute that is transforming multidisciplinary care in New England.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a comprehensive thoracic surgery program within a thriving regional health system.
Foster innovation and integrated, team-oriented care for patients with thoracic oncology needs.
Collaborate across various specialties in a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center .
Participate in weekly multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to program strategy during quarterly Cancer Committee meetings.
Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient environments utilizing advanced technology and support.

Team Collaboration

Become part of a robust team within the Cardiovascular Institute , which includes:

12 Non-Invasive Cardiologists
4 Interventional Cardiologists
2 Electrophysiologists
2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
1 Thoracic Surgeon (You will lead this segment of the team!)
4 Vascular Surgeons
17 Advanced Practice Providers across various specialties

You will also collaborate closely with:

8 Pulmonologists
Radiation & Medical Oncologists
Dedicated Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, and Dietitians
The Payson Center for Cancer Care , a nationally accredited program (CoC-CCCP & ACR-ROPA)

Qualifications

Board-certified Thoracic Surgeon.
Demonstrated leadership or medical director experience .
