Field Service TechnicianHouston, Texas, United StatesResponsibilitiesProvide excellent customer servicePerform and train entry level technicians on the installation, commissioning and maintenance testing of low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment, including:Transformers, power cables, circuit breakers, switchgear, protection relays, etc.Familiarity with test equipment such as Doble M4000, Megger, Ductor, VLF, transformer winding tests, Doble f6150e, Omicron CMC-356Lead a small team of technicians on electrical commissioning and maintenance projectsAct as a liaison to the customerWork with engineers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problemsWork as part of team to accomplish a common goalPrepare and review test documentationPrepare and submit daily reportsPerform safety analysis of jobs and tasks. Familiarity with electrical safety standardsUse and continually develop interpersonal skillsSkills & KnowledgeAbility to interact with clients and colleaguesExcellent written and oral communication skillsOrganizational skills including time management, attention to detail, and multitaskingKnowledge of Microsoft Office ProductsKnowledge and expertise of electrical design, maintenance, and commissioningInteraction with clients, customers, contractors, and othersQualifications and Experience5+ years in the field of electrical testingAbility to test numerous types of electrical apparatus and relays, as listed aboveHigh school diploma required, Bachelors, Associates or technical school certification is considered an assetMust have a valid drivers licenseMust be able to legally work in the USMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkPhysical RequirementsMust be able to perform physical labor including climbing ladders, standing for extended periods of time, drive regularly, fly regularly and travel for extended durationsMust be able to perform work outdoors in all weather conditionsMust be able to carry and lift up to 70 lbsMust be able to travel 30-50%Ability to use hand tools and power tools
