About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Corporate and Foundation Philanthropy to play a pivotal role in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of philanthropic gifts from corporate and foundation sources. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically engaging with foundation and corporation partners to develop relationships and secure funding that aligns with the company's priorities and initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with university leadership, faculty, and staff to stay informed about current and upcoming projects, as well as to translate technical information into compelling value propositions for external audiences. The Assistant Vice President will also be the primary moves manager for a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects, maintaining ongoing relationships, and ensuring compliance with stewardship reporting guidelines. Applicants for the Assistant Vice President position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least 2 years' of experience in corporate and foundation relations or equivalent. Campaign experience is highly valued. The role requires strong oral and written communication skills, with a particular emphasis on superb writing and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with fundraising software is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively under pressure, meet established goals, and demonstrate empathy and mentorship to colleagues.
