Position Summary

The SAGE Tutor and Facilitator at Dvareckas, Inc. is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for primary school-age children. This role involves a blend of academic support, behavioral guidance, and the implementation of specialized enrichment curricula. The Facilitator works closely with homeschool families to provide tutoring in core subjects and lead hands-on activities in STEM, Art, and Music. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills to oversee classroom dynamics and student progress effectively.

When 

• Days: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 08:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated tutoring and guidance in core academic areas, including reading, writing, and math.
• Supervise homework time, offering clarification and support to help students meet their individual learning goals.
• Maintain a focused and quiet environment that is conducive to academic growth and concentration.

Management & Classroom Leadership

• Demonstrate strong management skills by overseeing classroom transitions and student behavior.  

Safety, Communication & Administration

• Enforce all center safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily attendance records and student rosters.
• Provide professional updates to parents regarding their child’s academic progress and participation.
• Report any behavioral concerns, incidents, or injuries to Administration immediately using designated forms.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Minimum of 12 credits in Child Development to meet Title 22 standards.

Management Skills

• Proven ability to manage groups of children and oversee classroom operations effectively.

Background Clearance

• Must successfully complete a LiveScan background check (DOJ/FBI).
• Certifications
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Experience

• Previous experience working with young children in a group or tutoring setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to participate in outdoor activities and lift classroom materials up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and move quickly to ensure student safety.
