Job Summary The assistant manager of Heavenly will oversee the operations of a high volume, seasonal rental operation as well as two small retail operations. The assistant manager is a key holder and acts as manager‑on‑duty in the absence of other management presence. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail/rental operations, directing the day‑to‑day routine work of a larger group of associates and supervisors, maintaining business standards, and exercising increased decision‑making authority. They also fulfill day‑to‑day work responsibilities for the organization as needed. Critical Illness and Accident plans. Job Specifications Starting wage: $25.00 – $32.14 per hour. Employment type: Year‑round. Shift type: Full‑time hours available. Minimum age: 18 years or older. Housing available: Yes. Job Responsibilities Train and maintain safety standards for guests and employees. Manage a team of up to 65 frontline staff and a leadership team of 10–15 employees. Manage through uncertainty and change positively. Provide consistent, direct feedback, coaching and guidance to team members. Attend Assistant Manager meetings and communicate information to staff and managers. Monitor rest and meal breaks. Be energetic, motivated, and possess the ability to multi‑task. Drive professional development for yourself and others. Design, execute, and track training plans for associates starting on their first day. Ensure department and staff have all necessary supplies. Create a rewarding work environment and foster a team atmosphere. Participate in and help plan the fun. Identify sales opportunities and develop corresponding plans. Protect company assets through loss‑prevention techniques and manage inventory of rental and retail product. Communicate ideas or issues with store and regional managers. Manage operational budgets and payroll. Remain current on new industry products and trends, demonstrating product knowledge. Perform administrative duties. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum 2 years of leadership experience. Minimum 2 years of retail or rental experience. Knowledge and passion for talent development. Self‑motivated with the ability to multi‑task. Team player able to handle a fast‑paced, stressful environment. Desire to offer the highest customer service standards to guests. Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems – preferred. Preferred: 2 years of resort and/or ski & snowboard experience.
