Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Woodland, CA. The role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Compensation & Schedule Hourly Pay: $33.50 per hour Weekly Pay: Paid every week Hours per Week: 35‑40 hours Layovers taken in a Ryder‑paid hotel Schedule: Monday‑Friday on call Typical Start Times: 3:30 AM‑5:30 AM or 10:00 AM‑1:00 PM Job Details Routes: Deliver SOLO to Southern CA, OR, WA; possibly AZ Route style: Home daily & regional with up to 2 layovers Tractor type: Day cab Trailer types: Dry Van 28”, 31”, 48”, 53” Equipment: Electric pallet jack & lift gate Freight: Touch – hardware supplies Endorsements: Hazmat within 90 days of hire (Ryder reimburses cost and provides training) Vehicle: Drivers operate well‑maintained trucks 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 locations nationwide Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO first year (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided Drivers are captains – you make safety decisions; job is protected 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug & alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards Maintain accurate records and logs Loading/unloading freight or assisting loading/unloading if required by customer Perform other duties as assigned Equal Opportunity Statement Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
