About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required License: Must have relevant state license Certifications: BLS, CBSPD required Must-Have: Travel experience preferred Local applicants not accepted 50-mile radius for travel Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and management of surgical instruments. Previous experience in sterile processing is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting. Knowledge of sterilization equipment and techniques is necessary. Experience with cleaning and reprocessing medical equipment is essential. Familiarity with biological and chemical indicators is required. Must be able to operate sterilizers and other related equipment effectively. Knowledge of surgical instruments and proper handling techniques is a must. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively is important. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float to similar units as needed. This role involves maintaining compliance with health and safety standards in sterile processing.
