Commercial Plumbing EstimatorSeeking a Commercial Plumbing Estimator with experience in commercial plumbing takeoffs and estimating.Roles & Responsibilities:Perform complete takeoffs from plans and specs for commercial plumbing projects, including underground, above-ground, fixtures, gas, medical gas, and lab systemsBuild detailed estimates including labor, material, equipment, subs, and permitsSolicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotesPrepare accurate, well-documented estimates to support leadership's bid/no-bid decisionsManage the bid calendar and meet deadlinesHand off awarded projects to project managers with full scope, budget, and buyout planAttend pre-bid meetings and site walks as neededLearn and apply company's estimating standards, assemblies, and historical job cost dataReview actual job costs against estimates and refine pricing accuracy over timeQualifications:3+ years of estimating experience in the plumbing trade on commercial projectsStrong plan and spec reading ability, including underground, above ground, fixtures, gas, medical gas, and lab systemsProficiency with takeoff and estimating software, FastPIPE preferred.Track record of accurate, on-time bidsStrong attention to detail and follow-through under deadline pressureCoachable and collaborativePlumbing field experience or trade licensureVendor and subcontractor relationships in the Triangle marketExperience with Sage 300 or similar construction accounting systemsFamiliarity with percentage-of-completion job cost reporting
