Position Overview: Registered Nurse - Pre Admissions Testing (PAT)

As a Registered Nurse in Pre Admissions Testing, your ability to impact patient care is both recognized and encouraged at every level. Whether through collaborative interactions with your direct supervisor or through more structured avenues such as hospital councils and national nursing initiatives, your contributions will help shape decisions that enhance patient outcomes and advance the nursing profession.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager or Director, you will coordinate and deliver preoperative testing and education. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting health histories and relevant medical orders
• Reviewing test results and medication lists
• Providing nursing care in alignment with hospital policies, state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and applicable ASPAN Standards of care

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Diploma in Nursing
• No travel is required
• No prior experience is necessary

Working Conditions

This position does not require travel and is suitable for candidates without prior experience.
