Litigation Paralegal, Immediate Hire

Location: Manhattan Hybrid | Schedule: Full-Time |

Position Overview

We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of litigation experience, strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain litigation documentation.
• Draft and format pleadings, discovery requests, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Conduct cite-checking, proofread documents, and verify legal authorities in accordance with Bluebook rules.
• Coordinate court filings, document service, and submissions in state and federal courts.
• Assist with deposition, hearing, trial, and arbitration preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders.
• Conduct factual research, prepare case chronologies, and summarize deposition transcripts and discovery materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, litigation support teams, court personnel, and service providers.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with data security policies.
• Meet billable-hour expectations, maintain timely time entries, and support additional projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Experience with Bluebook citation rules and legal document preparation.
• Working knowledge of Westlaw, Lexis, and other legal research databases.
• Familiarity with CaseMap and TextMap; Relativity experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and document editing tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, research, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively with legal teams.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
