Accounting Manager

We're working with a growing Chicago-based financial services firm that is looking to add an Accounting Manager to its corporate accounting team.

This is a high-visibility opportunity within an established organization that continues to grow and invest in its accounting and finance function. They’re looking for someone who can bring a combination of strong technical accounting skills, leadership ability, and a process-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead key areas of the revenue accounting and month-end close processes
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and account analysis
• Analyze revenue activity and fluctuations to identify trends and business insights
• Partner cross-functionally with Technology, Operations, FP&A, and Finance
• Help strengthen controls, reporting, and accounting processes
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong foundation in GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Previous leadership or team management experience
• Open to public accounting or corporate accounting backgrounds
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Financial services experience is not required

The Opportunity

• Downtown Chicago
• Hybrid schedule: Monday–Thursday in office / Friday WFH
• Base salary of $110,000-$140,000 + discretionary bonus
