Housekeeper- Atherton, CA (Overnight Schedule)

A private household based in Atherton, California is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Overnight Housekeeper to ensure the residence is maintained to impeccable standards during evening and overnight hours. This is a hands-on role for a polished professional with a background in ultra-luxury private service or five-star hospitality who takes great pride in cleanliness, organization, and presentation. The ideal candidate will proactively identify and address household needs to ensure the home is fully prepared and guest-ready each morning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed nightly cleaning and upkeep of all interior living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and staff areas
• Complete evening reset of the residence, ensuring all rooms are immaculate, organized, and prepared for the following day
• Provide turndown service, including refreshing bedrooms, bathrooms, and guest suites
• Handle laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care as needed
• Maintain organization of closets, pantries, storage areas, and household supplies
• Monitor and replenish household inventories, including linens, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
• Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify and address any presentation or maintenance issues
• Assist with special cleaning projects, deep cleaning, and seasonal organization
• Coordinate discreetly with daytime staff to ensure seamless continuity of household operations
• Follow established household protocols and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Travel occasionally to other properties to ensure consistency of housekeeping standards, if needed

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper in a private residence or ultra-luxury hospitality environment
• Strong preference for candidates with five-star hotel, resort, or European-style service backgrounds
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Experience with fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, luxury linens, and wardrobe care
• Highly organized, efficient, and proactive
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times
