Job TitlePerforms basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerforms basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment as well as established Agriculture Management Solution (AMS) productsParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeReviews and explains any maintenance, repairs, or other service concerns directly with the customer and/or documents on work orderMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned dutiesJob Requirements1+ years of experience performing service repairs preferredAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresProficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician Certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid driver's license required along with a good driving recordMust maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employmentForklift license preferredMust have reliable attendanceAbility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidaysFull-Time Benefit PackagesPaid Holidays & Vacation TimeHealth, Vision, & Dental InsuranceLife Insurance401K Plan with Company MatchRoutine Performance & Pay ReviewsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Safety Equipment AllowanceCompany Provided UniformsAll benefits subject to change.Pay Information:The hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $50. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.In Season Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-12pm OR 7am-3pm (rotation determined by store) Off Season/Winter Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm *In Season Hours may be extended during peak seasons (planting, harvest, or any other peak selling season) to meet the needs of the store. Extended Hours are determined by the needs of the store and subject to change. * *Off Season Hours are from November-March. Start and end date to winter hours is dependent on year and subject to change. *
