• Number of Beds – 8 inpatient beds + 8 admission unit beds typically but occasionally flex up to 12 inpatient beds depending on overall hospital census
• Number of Staff – 10
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 chg, 2 rn, 1 pca
  • Night Shift – 1 chg, 2 rn, 1 pca
• Patient Ratios – maximum 6:1
• Type of equipment – standard
• EMR – meditech
• Unit currently consists of Med/Surg Pts

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have:

• Acute med/surg experience 1+ years within the last year
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time

Preferred or nice to have:

• Acute med/surg experience 2+ years w/in the last year
• Would prefer RN's w/ortho or neuro-surgery background. Med/Surg/Telemetry background would suffice.

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Care of med/surg pts
• Standard nursing skills: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance; medication administration; communication with all members of care team; documentation in EHR
