IT Healthcare Consultant - Software Engineer - Consultant

Position Details:

• Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; first month fully onsite for training)
• Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
• Rate: Up to $80.00/hour W2
• Interview Process: Two virtual rounds
• Candidate Requirement: Must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate at own expense

Project Overview:

This role supports a large-scale Eligibility and Enrollment Member Management Project . The team includes state personnel, IT professionals, and consultants. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to contribute to meaningful public sector initiatives.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site technical resource for the project.
• Design and document detailed technical specifications.
• Develop and unit test software components and APIs using Java, Python, NodeJS, ReactJS, and AWS.
• Conduct data mapping and gap analysis.
• Utilize IBM Curam framework to build new functionalities and resolve defects.
• Collaborate with business analysts, technical leads, and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Provide technical guidance and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in quality assurance processes and ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Report project status and risks to leadership.
• Translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
