Duties include performing under the supervision of an RN, LPN, NP, PA, or Physician. Essential Functions: Explains procedures to patients and fills out preliminary read forms. Performs routine examinations as ordered by the medical provider. Adjusts X-ray equipment to proper settings. Properly shields patients. Maintains records as required by NYS DOH. Maintains Quality Assurance. Knowledge of blood-borne pathogens and universal precautions. Performs additional duties such as patient intake, vital signs, drug and alcohol testing, pulmonary function testing, EKG, phlebotomy, specimen preparation, and assisting medical providers. Educational Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program, ARRT certification, current NYS license, and BLS certification. Experience: New graduates are welcome; 1 year of experience is a plus but not required.
