Multi-Purpose Clerk - Deli Location: 11399 Deerfield Dr., Truckee, CA 96161 The Multi-Purpose Clerk is an integral part of a highly motivated team focused on serving guests with an emphasis on the overall total store guest experience to consistently meet or exceed guest expectations. The Clerk may be assigned to one of the store’s multiple departments—Center Store Market, Fresh Market, Guest Services, etc.—and is responsible for promoting sales, answering guest questions, responding to requests for products, and accurately placing special orders. The Clerk practices safe food handling procedures, maintains a clean work area, and ensures the department remains free of safety hazards. In addition, the Clerk receives, inspects, and logs products for accuracy, stocks, rotates, and merchandises to maintain freshness and department appeal. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Center Store/Front End – Operate the check stand, memorize PLU codes, maintain inventory, and merchandise items. Produce – Receive, inspect, log, trim, wash, wrap produce; stock, rotate, maintain freshness. Meat/Seafood – Receive, inspect, label, stock, provide guest service at the counter; operate slicers/wrappers. Bakery/Deli – Receive, inspect, weigh, package, stock baked goods and deli products; operate ovens, proofers, slicers, mixers. Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation; sweep, mop, clean restrooms, break room, and parking lot. Valley Fresh – Receive, inspect, cut, wash, juice, package produce; stock and maintain freshness. Restaurant – Operate the register, take and serve guest orders, maintain cleanliness. All Department Assignment Duties Include Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas. Operate forklift (if authorized and certified). Operate baler (if authorized). Perform other duties as assigned. Hiring pay range: $17.15 – $26.50 per hour. Requirements (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities) At least 18 years of age. Excellent guest service and communication skills. Sense of urgency, self-motivation, proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible. Education: High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or relevant job experience. Experience: Six months of grocery retail related experience. Other: Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours. Physical: Requires standing and frequent physical movements; lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
