Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location

Hickory, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Monitor and manage generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults, including those presenting with chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial approaches)
• Operate and interpret data from cardiac monitoring equipment including Life Paks, Zoll, and Masimo devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• May occasionally be required to float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Cardiac nursing experience
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Associate degree in Nursing (or higher) required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EHR
• Familiarity with VATS patient care
• Experience in a collaborative, family-oriented unit environment
