Sunbelt Rentals supports service members. Job Description Summary The primary function of the Regional Service Technician is to provide direct support to all branches within the region. Position Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose, isolate, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or software issues using systematic methods. Follow manufacturers requirements in performing preventative maintenance Operate and function test equipment to verify machine performance Maintain meticulous logs of work orders, parts inventory, asset conditions, warranty and repair history. Support, train, and guide shop technicians on service, safety and best practices. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired Will need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade Excellent trouble-shooting skills Ability to prioritize work assignments Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness Working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements Prior floor care equipment experience strongly preferred Ability to travel 50-75% - frequently requiring overnight stays Ability to travel throughout the region as required Excellent communication, organizational and change management abilities. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record history. Must own and be able to effectively and safely use mechanic’s tools and equipment Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Base Pay Range: $29.77 - 40.94 Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
