Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degreefrom an American accredited college of pharmacy (AACP) Licensure: Current Minnesota Pharmacist license
Experience: Two -five years experience in a long-term careand/or hospital pharmacy preferred. Knowledgeable in federal and state regulationsgoverning hospital pharmacy and nursing homes. Inventory control and personnelmanagement.
EssentialFunctions:
• Responsiblefor the day-to day functions within the Pharmacy department.
• Assistwith implementation of established policies and procedures, updating asnecessary and introducing new policies for current practices.
• Assistwith the development and implement quality improvement activities to monitorall aspects of Pharmacy services. Maintains QA records of all pertinentinformation required within the Pharmacy.
• Identifyand provide educational programs for Nursing and Pharmacy.
• Activelyparticipate in hospital mandatory education programs/in-services.
• Participatein all meetings/committees pertinent to pharmacy services, as well as, thoserequired by administration.
• Promoteand maintain positive relations with area hospitals and the local community.
• Workswith patient charts and health information records, abiding by allconfidentiality requirements.
• Responsiblefor maintaining a clean and safe environment in the department for patients,medical staff, visitors and employees.
• Maintainsprofessional growth and development through seminars, workshops andpublications to keep current on trends and procedures affecting Activities.
• Utilizecomputers, email and software including, but not limited to, Word, Excel andPower Point.
• Demonstrateknowledge and compliance with facility wide and departmental policies andprocedures.
• Activelyparticipate in Cook Hospital and C&NCUnit Compliance Program and demonstrates compliance with required laws andregulations and ensures departmental compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Meetsattendance policy requirements.
