In this role, you will assist with all procurement functions related to the purchasing of materials and supplies, while maintaining accurate and detailed records.  Using your strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, you will also be responsible for sourcing, initiating and negotiating material purchases & contracts, spot buys when appropriate, just in time inventory, while keeping excess inventory a minimum.   In this Senior level role, you will assist with all procurement functions related to the purchasing of materials and supplies, while maintaining accurate and detailed records.  Using your strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, you will also be responsible for sourcing, initiating, and negotiating material purchases & contracts, spot buys when appropriate, just in time inventory, while keeping excess inventory a minimum. You will work closely with the purchasing lead and the demand planning analyst to enable purchasing requirements. Your TasksPlace purchase orders, make sure supplier acknowledges purchase orders & delivery date, and implement regular checkpoints to ensure the purchase is still on track. Ensures that the supplier has implemented contingency plans to ensure that the purchase stays on track.Participate in monthly procurement meetingsReport variances to the Director of Procurement Month end invoice reconciliationImplement KPI’s to ensure vendors are meeting Arvato’s requirements such as on time deliveryIssuance of standardized RFP/RFQ’s to take advantage of Arvato’s overall spendContract negotiations in alignment with LegalCollaborate with internal departments and regularly meet on needs and requirementsReport issues regarding vendor product quality, dependability, and service issues to Director of Procurement as quickly as possibleFollowing ISO processesQualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in procurementBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated expertise with SAP or any large ERPExpertise with Excel (including Pivot Tables), Word, Power Point, and Outlook etcAble to collaborate professionally with all levels of employees, management, external and internal customers, and vendorsOrganizational and planning skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set personal goals and enforce personal deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goalsThe ability to sit for extended periods of time within an office environmentAbility to work Monday- Friday, 8am-5pmAbility to travel as neededAbility to commute or relocate to 2825 Transglobal Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40219Additional InformationMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Disability Pay. 401(k) with company matching up to 6%.
