Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Connect with patients and families during triage, identifying care priorities.
• Conduct primary assessments and document deviations within a timely manner.
• Build trust and cooperation among team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Provide education and create a healing environment focused on patient-centered care.

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
• Two years acute hospital experience as an RN
• One year ED hospital experience as an RN
