Locum Tenens: Cardiology APP Opportunity in North-Central GA

Target Start Date: 3/4/2024

Target End Date: 9/30/2024

A medical center in north-central Georgia has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum cardiology coverage.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: 13-hour shifts, 3 nights/week
• Daily Census: 20-35 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel

QUALIFICATIONS

• ???Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Georgia state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitoner program
• One year of work experience as Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• One year of Epic experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements:

• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
