Critical Care Nurse

Job Title: Critical Care Nurse

Must-Have: Critical thinking Self-motivated

Description: The unit has 16 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, and at times 3:1. Staffing may include an MT and a tech based on census. Type of equipment used includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring. Documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requirements involve working 36 hours weekly with a floating policy in rotation with core staffing. Patient experience requirements include certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH. Advanced skills needed include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions. Dress code requires scrubs in any color, with no denim, capris, or camo allowed. Unit guidelines and policies are available upon request. Awards and recognition include a Daisy Award initiative by critical care staff. The unit offers flexibility with scheduling, a teamwork environment, and a mix of experience with day and night shifts.
