Certified Veterinary Technician OpportunityMountain View Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team in Central Point, Oregon. If you are passionate about veterinary medicine and want to help shape the culture and workflow of a hospital relaunch, we would love to hear from you.Who You Are:Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon required – or ability to obtain/transfer license within 3 months of hireDegree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred3 years' experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting preferredKnowledge of industry tools and equipmentPassion for working with animals and their ownersExperience with proper animal handling and restraintUnderstand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skillsObtain accurate and thorough medical historiesPerform basic exam proceduresSkilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioningPerform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, chartingConfident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, recovery)Perform medical math, accurately calculate, draw up and administer drugsLaboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machinesExcellent client communication/educationAbility to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentationIf you are that Certified Veterinary Technician who is looking for an exciting, no day ever the same, fast-paced, fun, energetic vet hospital then we look forward to hearing from you!Benefits We Offer:Your well-being matters to us.
