Job Description:

• The Machine Operator works in a team environment to set-up and operate a production line to meet customer specifications, with the responsibility of all aspects including quality, waste, and efficiency of the machine.
• This position reports to the Production Supervisor but can also take direction from the Team Leader assigned to the area.

Responsibilities:

• Set up/Adjust machine components based upon customer orders/work order specs.
• Run machine to produce product to fulfil customer order.
• Observe machine operation, gauges, meters and controls to ensure safety, quality and uniformity.
• Monitor the production and provide quick timely response to any equipment malfunctions.
• Periodically check product ensure quality by using measuring tape, machine caliper and gauges.
• Completes appropriate paperwork and provide accurate information related to waste, down time, machine maintenance and efficiency.
• Identify and record any problems relating to products and processes.
• Keep the work area clean using 6S process.
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• 6 - 12 months related experience.
• Experience with small hand tools and simple machine controls.
• Must be bi-lingual Spanish and English

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
