Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Clinical Expertise: Collaborate with fellow healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written care plan based on comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual factors that align with the changing needs and goals of the patient and their significant others. Utilize the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the "Caring-Quality Model."
• Knowledge: Pursue continuous learning and professional growth through certifications, advanced practice, higher education, and ongoing literature review.
• Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrate leadership qualities by sharing knowledge, serving as a clinical resource, and setting a professional example for others.
• Communication: Exhibit effective communication skills by fostering collegial relationships, employing SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) communication, and engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Productivity: Display proficiency in time management and the ability to assist team members to enhance overall team performance.
• Perform other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed by general and unit-specific competency-based objectives.

Submission Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience is required.
• Travel: Travel experience is highly preferred.

Certification Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification is required.

State License Requirements

• Active Michigan state nursing license.

Additional License Requirements

• Must have an active nursing license at the time of submission.
