Role Overview
As a Radiation Therapist , you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. You'll administer treatments according to established standards, maintain accurate patient treatment records, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and support high-quality patient care throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities
Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed
Follow established standards, protocols, and safety practices
Maintain accurate treatment and medical records
Assist with patient setup, positioning, and verification
Operate treatment machines and related equipment
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and care teams
Support workflow, room preparation, and patient throughput
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
?? Education - Required
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technical Program or equivalent
?? Education - Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
Certification & Licensure - Required
State of Florida Radiation Therapy License
ARRT Certification - Radiologic Technologists
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience
- Radiation therapy experience preferred
