Trillium Construction is seeking a Traveling Field Construction manager for a direct hire opportunity with a construction company that provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the energy industry.
They design and build industrial facilities, including terminals, pipelines, and storage tanks. The Construction Manager (CM) manages multi-craft projects up to $50 million. They are responsible for overseeing site coordination, safety, quality, equipment, materials, and manpower, ensuring project goals are met. The CM also leads or supports the project lead, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and codes.
Job Duties:
-Oversee safety, quality, equipment, material, and manpower coordination.
-Lead constructability reviews and task planning for effective project execution.
-Manage project resources, organization charts, and project documents.
-Ensure compliance with local ordinances, licensing, and permitting requirements.
-Develop and maintain communication with stakeholders (partners, clients, government).
-Evaluate project financials and manage costs, risks, and opportunities.
-Mentor and lead project team, fostering collaboration and a positive work culture.
-Manage subcontracting process, contract negotiations, and change orders.
-Ensure document control, including drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
-Lead safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
-Manage risk mitigation, lessons learned, and project closeout processes.
-Support scheduling, productivity tracking, and the planning process.
-Ensure compliance with project management software (Spectrum) for reporting and cost tracking.
-Manage subcontractor administration, procurement, and financial closeout.
Compensation & Benefits:
-Salary: $160K - $190K per year + Per Diem
-Travel: 100% travel required.
-Company Vehicle: Provided for business use.
This is a full-time salaried position, typically requiring 50+ hours per week based on project demands.
Job Requirements:
-12+ years of construction management experience.
-Proven success as a Senior Project Engineer or Project Superintendent.
-Ability to manage up to 7 direct reports and a crew of 100+ people.
-Strong knowledge of safety, quality control, and project documentation processes.
-Proficient in construction management software (Spectrum, Primavera P6).
-Ability to oversee multi-discipline projects of $30M or more.
-Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
-Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
-Knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Willingness to travel 100% and relocate for extended periods (6-12 months).
-Strong understanding of subcontract management, procurement, and scheduling.
