Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your role will encompass a variety of critical functions:

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific mental health concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to ADHD and behavioral disorders. \n
- Deliver therapeutic interventions, employing evidence-based methodologies with a focus on individual and family therapy. \n
- Engage in family therapy sessions, providing guidance to parents and caregivers on creating supportive home environments that foster emotional well-being. \n
- Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to treatment, incorporating medical, therapeutic, and social considerations. \n
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, equipping families with strategies and resources for managing mental health emergencies. \n
- Educate clients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources available to them. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively. \n
- Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to stay updated on best practices and emerging research in child and adolescent psychiatry. \n
This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health disorders, as well as their families. You will address common issues affecting this demographic, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care based on their distinct life experiences and emotional needs.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas. \n
- Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as evidence-based treatment strategies. \n
- Experience providing individual and family therapy, with a demonstrated ability to connect with young clients and their families. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that reflect a compassionate and child-centered approach. \n
- Capability to establish rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families in both virtual and in-person settings. \n
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and adeptness in computer operations necessary for documentation and communication. \n
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. \n
While two years of experience in a related mental health counseling role is required, preferred candidates will have a background specifically working with children and adolescents in diverse settings. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and an understanding of the unique complexities that arise in treating young populations will significantly enhance your candidacy.
