Service operations manager

Manufacturer in the greater Cleveland, OH area is seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead their technical service department. The ideal candidate will have previous service management experience and a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering. responsibilities:

• Define and execute business plans to achieve corporate KPIs, including targets for growth, profitability, and efficiency.

• Manage a technical service department of 8 direct reports, including both in-house and field service personnel across the US and Canada.

• Act as a key liaison between clients and the organization to resolve high-level service issues

• Compile and analyze product service data to provide feedback to manufacturing for equipment improvement and future product development.

• Implement and manage the calibration of testing equipment in accordance with ISO 17025 standards.

• Develop continuous service training programs and foster a knowledge-sharing culture within the team.

• Participate in the implementation of global ERP service solutions and contribute to global best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum requirement of an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Proven experience in service management and previous \"hands-on\" field service engineering.

• Excellent communication skills required

• strong technical knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

• Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems (BAAN preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to travel occasionally within North American and overseas.

• Experience with ISO/ASTM standards and equipment safety standards (UL, CSA) preferred.
