This role is a hybrid position requiring you to be onsite for at least 60% of the working month, approximately 3 days a week.The RoleUnderstand the state of the art in AI or biology and move forward at least one of those fields.Contribute to executing the research roadmap for the company, including large-scale pretraining of foundation models, fine-tuning foundation models for impactful applications in biology, applying AI models in workflows solving applied problems in biology, etc.Drive the research for a portion of the company’s cutting-edge foundation model efforts and lead projects in that area.Implement software for research initiatives.Collaborate with other researchers and engineers.Engage the wider scientific community through impactful publications and open-source releases.Preferred qualificationsProficiency in programming languages such as Python.M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience implementing models with pytorch or equivalent tools.Ability to plan and run ML experiments, analyze and communicate outcomes.Compensation The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $350,000+ per year.
