Painter (1st shift)

- Location: Taneytown, MD 21787
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 1st shift: 6:30 am to 3 pm
- Pay rate: $21 per hour
- Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire)
Job Summary

Preps, mixes, and sprays paint on products/components per procedures. Involves working near moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to fumes, vibrations, and airborne particles.

Key Responsibilities

• Prep & Paint: Clean, mask, and de-rust parts. Mix multi-part paint systems and use sprayers for applications and touch-ups.

• Safety & 6S: Adhere to all safety rules, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean workplace.

• Quality & Support: Work efficiently with minimal supervision, participate in continuous improvement, and assist in assembly/hydro testing as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.

• Ability to read drawings, instructions, and precision measuring tools.

• Skilled with hand, power, and air tools.

• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and obtain a respirator certification.
