Registered Nurse - Per Diem (Days or Nights)

Up to $44/hour for day shift and $48/hour for nights based on experience (Detox preferred)

12-hour shifts (7am to 7pm Days, 7pm to 7am Nights)

Full-Time and Part-Time options are also available

We are looking for day shift Registered Nurses to join our team. These staff members are critical components of our patients early recovery and an instrumental part of the positive life changing decisions a person with substance use disorder must make as they enter the world drug/alcohol free.

Qualification Requirements:

• License as a Registered Nurse (RN) valid in the State of Maine.
• Recent RN nursing program graduates are encouraged to apply, in addition to candidates with extensive nursing experience.
• Prior experience in substance abuse recovery / detox is preferred, but not at all required.

Responsibilities:

• Patient (client) monitoring, including regular vital checks and closely documenting conditions.
• Perform comprehensive assessment of clients at the admission stage to build the best care plan possible.
• Administer medications, including infections and oral supplements.
• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support for clients going through withdrawal from substances and/or alcohol.
• Partner alongside clinical team members, including therapists and other mental health professionals, and be mindful of clients psychological state.
• Communicate with clients' family/friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
• Adhere to confidentiality best practices and ensure client privacy.
• Follow care regulations and standards set by law.

Pay, Benefits, and Bonus:
Ranging from $36/hour to $44/hour for days and up to $48/hour for nights. Pay rates are determined based on qualifications, including years of experience in detox or related field and level of education. Part-Time and Per Diem staff are not eligible for benefits. Full-Time is considered a minimum of 36 hours/week (three 12s) to be eligible for benefits.

Schedule:
Minimum availability to be on our per diem roster is 3 shifts a month, plus 1 additional on-call shift a month, which must include rotating weekend shifts as needed. Shifts are 12-hours from 7am to 7pm for days and 7pm to 7am for nights. Part-time and full-time options are available. Overnight positions are also available.
