Histology Technician

Job Title: Laboratory Technician - DSRD Necropsy & Histology Technician Location: Groton, CT Work Type: 100% Onsite Job Type: Contract on W2 Duration: 12 Months Job Description We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support necropsy and histology activities for preclinical safety studies. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory experience who are interested in pathology, histology, and animal research within a regulated laboratory environment. Responsibilities Support laboratory activities for necropsy and histology studies. Prepare study materials and laboratory equipment. Collect, process, and document biological specimens. Maintain accurate laboratory records and chain of custody documentation. Follow SOPs, GLP guidelines, and laboratory safety procedures. Assist with specimen handling, tissue processing, and laboratory organization. Perform equipment maintenance and ensure laboratory readiness. Collaborate with pathologists, scientists, and laboratory staff. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma with 1–3 years of laboratory experience, or Associate Degree with 0–2 years of laboratory experience. Understanding of laboratory procedures and SOPs. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in histology, pathology, animal science, or tissue collection. Exposure to GLP laboratory environments.
