Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Role: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care in accordance with state regulations, hospital policies, and procedures. Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan, and evaluate care effectively. Monitor patient progress and document pertinent observations. Delegate appropriate tasks to staff and collaborate as part of a healthcare team. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing; if holding an associate degree, must obtain a bachelor’s within five years. Current Illinois Registered Nurse licensure. CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications within three months of employment. Key Duties: Deliver patient-centered care, employ critical thinking, evaluate patient status, and ensure documentation accuracy. The role involves teamwork and task delegation to meet unit goals.
