Clinical Dietitian

Encompass Health seeks a Clinical Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutrition care to patients in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. You will complete nutrition assessments, develop and monitor individualized care plans, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery from major illnesses and injuries. Responsibilities include patient and family education, EMR documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy for inpatient rehabilitation patients based on clinical assessments and physician orders Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based nutrition care plans to support recovery from major illness or injury Collaborate daily with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case managers as part of the interdisciplinary care team Educate patients and families on diet modifications, nutrition goals, and long-term health management Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record in accordance with regulatory standards Participate in performance improvement, clinical audits, and best-practice initiatives to improve patient outcomes Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and standards of care for nutrition services Provide guidance to foodservice staff on therapeutic diets and nutrition-related procedures Nutritional assessment Care planning Enteral and parenteral nutrition Clinical documentation (EMR) Interdisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education Nutrition-focused physical exam Regulatory and clinical compliance Menu and therapeutic diet planning Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required State dietitian/nutritionist licensure as applicable ServSafe or food safety certification preferred Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Roselle Center for Healing
