The environmentally friendly facility features natural light in patient rooms, native plants and water conservation measures. In addition to traditional hospital services, the campus features specialty support such as The Joint Club and Baptist Breast Center. Excellent specialty coverage (neurosurgery, etc.) is available across the five hospitals in San Antonio's Baptist Health System, as well as adult and geriatric psychiatric facilities. Emergency Department ED Volume: 50,000 Trauma Designation: Level IV ED Beds: 17 ED beds with 4 additional Fast Track beds Staffing Model: 8-10 hour Physician shifts (depending on volume trends) with APP support ED Admission Rate: 11% EMR: Cerner Patients/Hour: 2.4 Qualifications: BC/BP in emergency medicine preferred We use a state-of-the-art Split Flow and Front End process along with a Results Pending area to handle volume surges Community San Antonio is a city rich in history, culture, education and recreation.
