Part‑Time Faculty - CPD Basic Aerospace Electrical/Electronics Teaching CPD Aerospace Structures Technology related coursework. Applications for part‑time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part‑time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full‑time employees. Part‑time faculty are hired on an “as needed” basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on‑site work location. A portion of the teaching assignment may be evening and possibly weekend classes as needed. Duties include: Provide students with technical instruction in a safe and clean learning environment. Utilize teaching strategies and instructional materials for various learning styles. Evaluate student mastery of skills in: Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints and schematics. Use of precision instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other equipment to measure various components within a circuit. Verifying quality of finished product. And any other skill sets as required. Conduct assessments as required per the curriculum. May require administrative duties such as maintaining records, taking attendance, tracking evaluations, ordering supplies, equipment and inventory control and other related duties. May be required to maintain clean, secure, orderly, and safe classrooms, laboratories, equipment, and materials. Participate in professional development opportunities. And other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Five (5) or more years of industry experience in the field of instruction of which three (3) or more years are in the aerospace/aviation industry. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in electrical/electronics, aerospace/aviation, or related field from a regionally accredited college/university. Ten (10) plus years documented industry experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing specializing in electrical/electronics. Two (2) or more years teaching Basic Electricity/Electronics courses and/or technical material at a post‑secondary institution. Certec/SpaceTec certification – Basic Electrical and Advanced Electrical certifications. Salary Grade: AH Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
