Quality Control Clerk

Quality Control / Shipping ClerkThe Quality Control / Shipping Clerk delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers. He or she performs a final check of all finished sign products and ensures everything is correct before calling the customer to pick up their signs. The Quality Control / Shipping Clerk will box and ship signs when necessary and check in inventory. The ideal candidate has previous shipping experience, strong computer and internet skills, excellent proof-reading skills and an attention to detail, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.ResponsibilitiesContinuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadershipPerforms a final QA check of all products to verify accuracy and correctnessCalls customers to arrange pickup of productsBoxes and ships products when necessaryChecks in inventoryTakes ownership of any shipping problems and offers viable solutionsProvides completed documentation for shippingAnswers phones courteously and provides accurate, detailed informationHelps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and bindingMaintains a clean and safe working environmentPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredShipping experience desiredStrong proof-reading skillsGood communication and people skillsOutstanding phone skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe SuitesStrong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and mathAble to operate a wide variety of business equipmentDetail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-taskPrompt, reliable, and responsibleAble to lift 40+ pounds
