Housing Specialist - Veteran and Family Services (SSVF)

Housing Assistance CoordinatorResponsible for assisting tenants with their housing needs in order to become self-sufficient.Position Description:Maintain regular contact with tenants to monitor housing needs and barriersComplete housing search with potential tenant to quickly and efficiently obtain housing in the communityAssist with lease signingsEducate and advocate for tenants in regards to Fair Housing Laws and Tenant Rights and ResponsibilitiesDocument timely and accurately all activities as defined by funder and credentialing entityComplete initial and periodic inspections of housing unitsInput data into all applicable electronic systemsOperate personal computer to input and retrieve data and produce reports and correspondencePerform problem solving and conflict management as neededOther duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent organizational and time management skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to problem solve and multi-taskHandle sensitive contacts with clientsAbility to work in a team settingBe adaptive, flexible and responsive to needs of othersRecognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate actionAdequate computer skills and ability to learn new softwareJob Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience3-5 years' experience in a related areaValid driver's license and auto insuranceEssential Functions/Physical Demands:Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned.
