How you'll contribute A Charge Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: The Charge Nurse coordinates and supervises patient care activities during an assigned shift while serving as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff. The Charge Nurse ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care by directing workflow, promoting communication, resolving operational issues, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. * Provide leadership and clinical support to RNs, LPNs, PCAs, and support staff. * Coordinate daily patient care activities and assign workloads based on staff competency, patient acuity, and staffing levels. * Monitor patient care quality and compliance with policies. * Adjust staffing assignments as needed. * Assist with direct patient care when necessary. * Serve as a resource for clinical concerns and emergencies. * Promote communication among physicians, staff, patients, and families. * Ensure timely EMR documentation. * Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges. * Respond to emergencies and activate protocols. * Monitor patient safety initiatives. * Document incidents according to policy. * Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives. * Mentor and orient new staff. * Perform other duties as assigned. What we're looking for : Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include: * Current RN license, BLS required; ACLS/PALS as applicable. * Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire. * Minimum two years of acute care experience preferred; prior leadership experience preferred.
